Reference Network Architecture - the project
In the Netherlands, all sorts of organisations are currently engaged in digital knowledge sharing. Examples include museums, libraries and cultural heritage managers. In doing so, they are often faced with problems.
The RNA project investigates reliable, efficient and affordable digital knowledge-sharing solutions. We use technologies that have already proven their worth in practice, but which have not yet, or hardly, been combined, or have not yet been applied to the field of (in particular) cultural heritage.
The RNA project applies these solutions to a number of cases that are representative for the knowledge-sharing issues for which many knowledge organisations are currently trying to find an answer.
The project's basics
The starting point of the RNA project is that the producing and presenting knowledge and making it searchable works best in a network environment. The RNA project experiments with a range of solutions for digital knowledge sharing.
RNA partners
Participants in the RNA project include knowledge organisations, research institutes and companies.
