Managing reference structures
It is important that non-technical domain experts can work on reference structures:
- they must be able to change structures, e.g. moving concepts or branches
- they must be able to add concepts to the structure, e.g. candidate concepts contributed during editorial work
- they must be able to remove parts froms a structure
In the RNA-project we develop and test facilities to edit reference structures. We use SKOS (Simple Knowledge Organisation System) as the preferred format for reference structures. The advantages of using a format like SKOS is that a standard way to describe reference structures opens the possibility to link them easily.
Topics we work on in this product group:
- SKOS structure editor
- Concept search
- Searching and linking concept - lemma networks
- Candidate concept strategies
