Expert-in-the-field tools
Editorial boards typically use a content management system (CMS) to create content, to add this content to the website structure in the shape of a web page and to create links with reference structures. Most CMS's are rather heavy applications and require a strict regime of user rights. For this reason, CMS's are ofen unsuitable if a large number of third parties contribute content. However, this is often required in actual practice.
For such scenarios, the RNA-project experiments with expert-in-the-field tools', light and easily deployable applications for creating content and linking it to reference structures. Using such a content editor, editors can directly add content to websites and link it to reference structures.
